Does religion breed arrogance?

Lets face it..christians and muslims have a holyer than thou attitude. A "chosen people"mindset. And ever since the history of the bible they have been killing the innocent for not believing in their ideals. And if they had their way, all of the infidels would be killed still today. How is this good? Your arrogance is becoming your downfall.
